The Halldale Group is now accepting papers for the Asian Aviation, Education and Training Symposium (AAETS) taking place in Seoul, South Korea, on 27-28 June 2019. The abstract submission deadline is 15th February 2019.

AAETS 2019 will focus on an in-depth coverage of 2 major industry training disciplines in order to identify current best practice:

  • Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL)
  • Maintenance Training

Abstracts are invited to cover:

  • Multi-Crew Pilot Licence
  • Current and future regulation
  • Practical syllabi – lessons learnt and improvements
  • Preferred training equipment/platforms
  • Seamless introduction of graduates into airline operation
  • Actual measured online performance of graduates
  • Rate of Progress to Command
  • What is the ROI?

Maintenance Training

  • Human Factors
  • SMS in Maintenance training
  • Non Technical topics for maintenance training

Bonus Subjects

There will be two bonus sessions, by way of briefing latest developments in:

  • Training Air Traffic Controllers
  • Training for Helicopter Operations

Abstracts on other relevant subjects within all disciplines will also be considered.

Guide:

Presentations should be planned for a maximum duration of 15 minutes and should be designed as a lead-in to the subsequent panel discussion and workshop. If using a slide-based presentation, these should be limited to a maximum of 15 slides. Once the speakers have presented, there will be a short panel discussion led by the moderator.

Each session in the conference hall will be followed by a workshop discussion on that session’s topics.

To propose a presentation for AAETS, please send a maximum 300 word abstract before 15th February 2019.

Submissions should include:

  • The working title of the proposed presentation
  • Your full job title and email address
  • Up to 300 word abstract
  • A short biography of the speaker and conference presentation experience

Please title your email “AAETS 2019 ABSTRACT” and submit to Conference Chair Chris Long at chrislong@halldale.com and to Fiona Greenyer at fiona@halldale.com. Authors of accepted speaker proposals will be notified by mid-March.

AAETS is an “applied” conference and while full academic papers are not appropriate, we will consider summaries of appropriate aviation training and education research projects.

Preference will be given to air carriers and training organisations with real world training insights, “Lessons Learned” and training “solutions and outcomes” information. In no case will sales presentations be accepted.

We sincerely thank all those who propose presentations and will endeavour to respond to all submissions.
